SOUNDSCAPE IS CONCERNED ABOUT ITS PRIVACY SO WE ARE THEREFORE CONCERNED ABOUT YOUR PRIVACY AND ARE COMMITTED TO PROTECTING IT.
Please read this Privacy Policy to understand how we will take every reasonable and commercially feasible safeguard to protect and ensure the security, integrity and privacy of personally identifiable information submitted to our Websites. This Privacy Policy (the “Privacy Policy”) may change from time to time, so please check back at the TOP of this Privacy Policy for the “Latest Updated” date. This Privacy Policy covers Soundscape, a defined term as identified above, and applies solely to information collected on Soundscape. The following is a summary of the various information you provide to us while using our Website and the various ways we treat the information. Personally identifiable, non-personally identifiable information and cookies may be transferred or stored on computer equipment or in our offices and possibly on our computers or offices outside the United States of America, and you are deemed to consent to the same.
WHAT INFORMATION DOES SOUNDSCAPE COLLECT FROM ME?
There are three types of information Soundscape may collect from you: personally identifiable, non-personally identifiable information and cookies. You have probably heard of or about “cookies”, but the other terms are probably new to you.
Let us explain to you about these three types of information we collect.
What is personally identifiable information? Personally identifiable information consists of information you expressly and voluntarily provide to us through such means as, contest entry forms, registration on the Website or the various services offered on the Website, including, but possibly not limited to community postings such as those found in chats and bulletin boards or when you “opt-in” to receive offers directly from Soundscape or our third-party partners. Opting-in again is a voluntary action that will clearly be displayed before you act. Such personally identifiable information will never be shared with third parties outside of Soundscape and its affiliated companies, developers or third-party vendors acting on Soundscape’s behalf. Information that may be collected consists of e-mail address, name or phone number, your age, online login descriptors, home address and possibly credit card information when something is purchased and/or won in a contest and must be shipped. The credit card processor may also collect your information if you complete a transaction on our Website using your credit card. Additionally, we may also collect information you voluntarily provide in a survey or questionnaire. You may always choose not to provide personally identifiable information, but this may lead to either your dismissal from the Website’s use or may result in decreased functionality of the Website for you, and/or the inability to provide you information concerning certain products or services. If you no longer wish to have your information shared, write to us at admin@soundscapeuniverse.com. If you do not wish to receive communications from us, simply follow the unsubscribe instructions contained within the e-mail, or write to admin@soundscapeuniverse.com.
WHAT IS NON-PERSONALLY IDENTIFIABLE INFORMATION?
We may automatically collect certain non-personally identifiable information from you to optimize our web pages for your personal computer such as the Internet protocol (“IP”) address, internet service provider, platform type, date/time stamp, http protocol information (last URL requested and browser type), your birth date, browser interaction such as when you move your mouse over an image, computer and browser information and search term history. Your (“IP”) address is usually associated with the place from which you enter the Internet, like your Internet Service Provider, your company/employer or your university. Your IP address information is important because we may use it to help diagnose problems with our server, gather broad demographic information, and administer Soundscape. (IP addresses are not linked to personally identifiable information).
WHAT ARE COOKIES?
Cookies, clear GIFs, and other similar technology track how and when visitors use Soundscape and how Soundscape may be used. Cookies make web surfing easier by identifying the IP address of your computer and saving your passwords and other preferences for you. You can, however, set your browsers to reject cookies. Cookies are not necessary to visit Soundscape; however, some functions and services may or may not be available unless you enable cookies on your browser. The cookies themselves do not contain personally identifiable information (see above), but they may enable us to collect information about your visits to Soundscape and such information may be shared with our affiliated companies to enhance your experience.
Although Soundscape does not utilize third-party advertisers, advertisers may serve you cookies as well. We do not have control over cookies placed by advertisers.
